Last updated: May 13, 2025

At Scrub Club, we are committed to providing a transparent, compliant, and trustworthy marketplace connecting clients with independent cleaners. This Policy Agreement outlines our policies governing privacy, usage, payments, security, and operations to ensure a safe and reliable experience for all users. These policies apply to all products and services provided by Scrub Club, LLC, including Scrub Club (all versions), whether accessed via web browser, desktop application, mobile application, or other formats.

Privacy Policy

The privacy of your data — and it is your data, not ours! — is a big deal to us. This policy outlines what data we collect, why, how it’s handled, and your rights. We never sell your data: never have, never will.

What We Collect and Why

Identity & Access: When you sign up as a client or cleaner, we collect your name, email address, and optionally a company name or profile picture to personalize your account and send essential updates, such as booking confirmations or payment notifications. Cleaners provide additional KYC data (e.g., ID, bank details) via Stripe’s hosted onboarding for payment processing. We do not access profile pictures or use your information in marketing without permission.

Billing Information: Clients provide credit card and billing address details for payments, processed securely by Stripe. We store only the last 4 digits of the card and billing address for history, invoicing, and tax purposes. Cleaners provide bank details via Stripe for payouts. We do not store payment card data on our servers.

Geolocation Data: We log IP addresses for account access and signups to verify security and mitigate spam. Login data is kept while your account is active; signup IPs are retained permanently. Web analytics tie temporarily to IPs for troubleshooting, blinded after 30 days.

Website Interactions: We track browser data (e.g., OS, browser version), page visits, and link clicks for analytics, tied to IPs and user accounts (if signed in).

Cookies: We use first-party cookies for preferences and analytics. Adjust settings in your browser. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals.

Voluntary Correspondence: We store support emails and survey responses for reference. Recordings of interviews require your consent.

Information We Do Not Collect: We do not collect protected characteristics (e.g., age, race, gender) or biometric data. Profile pictures are for your use only.

When We Access or Share Your Information

We access or share data only to:

  • Provide services (e.g., Stripe processes payments; see Cleaner Agreement).
  • Troubleshoot issues, with your consent.
  • Investigate abuse, as a last resort, per our Use Restrictions Policy.
  • Comply with U.S. law (e.g., warrants), notifying you unless prohibited.

We use subprocessors (e.g., Stripe) listed at scrubclubapp.com/subprocessors. If acquired, we’ll notify you before data transfers.

Your Rights

You have rights under applicable U.S. laws, including CCPA for California residents, such as:

  • Right to Know, Access, Correct, Erase, and Non-Discrimination.

Exercise rights by updating your account or emailing support@scrubclubapp.com. We verify identity for deletion requests.

How We Secure Your Data

Data is encrypted via SSL/TLS during transmission. Database backups are encrypted. Payment data is handled by Stripe, not stored on our servers. See Security Overview.

Data Deletion

Trashed data is kept in a trash can for 30 days, deleted from active servers within 60 days, and backups within 90 days. Cancelled accounts are purged within 60 days (see Cancellation Policy).

Location

Our services operate in the U.S., and all data is processed and stored in the U.S.
