All the terms that you agree to when you sign up for a Scrub Club product.

From everyone at Scrub Club, thank you for using our products! We build them to help you do your best work. With customers relying on our products and services daily, we’ve implemented these Terms of Service to ensure a smooth, consistent, and compliant experience for everyone.
When we say “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”, we are referring to Scrub Club, LLC.
When we say “Services”, we mean any product created and maintained by Scrub Club, LLC, including Scrub Club (all versions), whether delivered within a web browser, desktop application, mobile application, or another format.
When we say “You” or “your”, we are referring to the people or organizations that own an account with one or more of our Services, including clients who book cleaning services and cleaners who provide services through our platform. We have specific ownership policies for our products: Scrub Club.
We may update these Terms of Service in the future. Whenever we make a significant change, we will announce it on our company announcements page and notify you via email. You can find the latest version at scrubclubapp.com/terms.
By using our Services, you agree to the latest Terms of Service, including existing and future products and features. We may not always enforce every provision, but this does not waive our rights. These terms include a limitation of our liability.
If you violate these terms, we may terminate your account. We strive to earn your trust by being transparent about our operations and welcoming feedback at support@scrubclubapp.com.
Account Terms
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. The Company is not liable for losses due to your failure to comply. We recommend two-factor authentication, which may be required for some Services.
- You may not use the Services for any purpose outlined in our Use Restrictions policy, including activities prohibited by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, such as those on their Restricted Businesses list.
- You are responsible for all content posted and activity under your account, including by others with access to your credentials or sub-accounts.
- You must be a human. Accounts registered by bots or automated methods are not permitted.
Marketplace Operations
- Scrub Club is a marketplace platform connecting clients with independent cleaners for cleaning services. Clients book and pay cleaners through our Services, and cleaners receive payments directly via our third-party payment processor, Stripe.
- We use Stripe Connect to facilitate payments. Clients pay cleaners’ Stripe accounts directly (via direct charges), and Scrub Club collects a facilitator fee (20% per transaction) for platform services, such as matching, booking, and support. We do not aggregate or hold client funds beyond collecting our facilitator fee.
- Cleaners are independent contractors, not employees of Scrub Club. They set their own rates, and clients pay the agreed rate plus any optional tips, which cleaners keep in full. Scrub Club does not deduct from cleaners’ earnings except as outlined in our fee structure.
- We onboard cleaners using Stripe’s hosted onboarding, requiring identity verification (KYC) and bank details to ensure compliance with card network and regulatory standards. Cleaners must agree to our Cleaner Agreement and comply with all applicable laws.
- We monitor cleaner and client activity to prevent fraud, disputes, and prohibited activities, reserving the right to suspend or terminate accounts for non-compliance.
Payment, Refunds, and Plan Changes
- Free versions of our Services require no credit card and do not involve data sales, consistent with our paid Services.
- Clients pay cleaners for services and a facilitator fee to Scrub Club, processed via Stripe. Payment terms, including cleaner rates and our facilitator fee, are disclosed before booking. Cleaners receive payments directly to their Stripe accounts, subject to Stripe’s processing fees.
- For paid Services with a free trial, we specify the trial length at signup. Post-trial, advance payment is required to continue. Non-payment freezes your account until payment is made, and prolonged non-payment queues it for cancellation per our Cancellation policy.
- Upgrading from a free to a paid plan triggers an immediate charge, starting the billing cycle. Other plan changes take effect in the next cycle.
- Fees exclude taxes, which we collect and remit where required per our Taxes policy. You are otherwise responsible for applicable taxes.
- We handle disputes and refunds per our Dispute Resolution policy. Clients may request refunds for unsatisfactory services, subject to review. Cleaners are responsible for service-related disputes, while Scrub Club manages platform-related issues.
Third-Party Payment Processor
- We use Stripe as our third-party payment processor. By using our Services to make or receive payments, you agree to Stripe’s Services Agreement and Connect Agreement.
- Stripe processes all payments securely, and Scrub Club does not store or process payment card data directly. Any issues with payment processing should be directed to support@scrubclubapp.com or Stripe’s support.
Cancellation and Termination
- You are responsible for canceling your account via the no-questions-asked cancellation link in our Services, per our Cancellation policy. Email or phone requests are not automatic cancellations. Contact support@scrubclubapp.com for assistance.
- Upon cancellation, your content becomes inaccessible immediately, deleted from active systems within 30 days and backups within 60 days. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
- Canceling before the end of a paid month takes effect immediately, with no proration for unused time, per our Dispute Resolution policy.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, our Use Restrictions policy, or Stripe’s Restricted Businesses list, including engaging in prohibited payment facilitation or aggregation. Termination deletes your account and forfeits all content.
- Abuse of Company employees or officers results in immediate termination.
Modifications to the Service and Prices
- We commit to supporting our Services with security, privacy, and customer support. We may modify or discontinue features or Services with or without notice if technically necessary or to improve functionality.
- We may adjust pricing, including facilitator fees, with at least 30 days’ notice via email and our website. Existing customers may be exempt, but we reserve the right to apply changes with notice.
Uptime, Security, and Privacy
- Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without service-level agreements, except where noted. We prioritize uptime and reliability.
- We may temporarily disable accounts for excessive usage impacting other customers, contacting the owner first unless immediate action is needed.
- We protect your data with backups, redundancies, and encryption, including payment data processed securely via Stripe. See our Security Overview and Security Response for details on reporting incidents.
- We process your data per our Privacy Policy and only for the purposes you signed up for. We access data to:
- Support your requests, with consent.
- Fix errors stopping automated processes, accessing minimal data only when necessary.
- Safeguard Scrub Club, including reviewing logs for security or abuse investigations.
- Comply with U.S. law, sharing data only under legally binding orders, per our Privacy Policy.
- We use third-party vendors for hardware, software, and storage to run the Services.
- We process data only for the intended purpose and do not sell or disclose it without your permission, in compliance with applicable U.S. laws, including CCPA for California residents, and GDPR for potential future international expansion.
- We currently only operate in the United States and comply with applicable U.S. data protection laws. We maintain high data protection standards and regularly review our practices to ensure the security of your information.
Copyright and Content Ownership
- Content must comply with U.S. copyright law. See our Copyright Infringement policy for filing claims.
- We claim no intellectual property rights over your uploaded materials.
- We may refuse or remove content violating our Use Restrictions policy or Stripe’s Restricted Businesses list, without obligation to pre-screen.
- The Services’ names, look, and feel are copyright © Scrub Club, LLC. You may not copy or reuse code or design without permission. Email support@scrubclubapp.com for logo use requests.
- You may not exploit the Services without written permission.
- You must not falsely imply association with Scrub Club via other websites.
Features and Bugs
We design Services based on experience and feedback but make no guarantees they’ll meet specific requirements. We test features extensively but cannot ensure bug-free Services. We prioritize fixing security and privacy bugs.
Services Adaptations and API Terms
Our APIs are bound by these Terms and the following:
- We are not liable for damages from API or third-party product use.
- Third-party APIs may not enable remote user surveillance beyond time tracking, as determined by us.
- API abuse or excessive requests may lead to suspension, with prior warning unless downtime is caused.
We are not liable for third-party integrations.
Liability
The Company is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, resulting from the Services, unauthorized access, third-party conduct, or any breach of these Terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.
By using our Services, you accept this risk. We strive to minimize it through robust security, infrastructure, and support. Thank you for your trust.
